Parmesan Asparagus Orzo Pasta
This pasta recipe is incredibly easy to make while camping because it cooks in one pot. This makes not only cooking a breeze, but the cleanup is minimal.

Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup orzo
- 1/2 lb asparagus
- 1/2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tspn basil
- 1/2 tspn thyme
- 1/2 tspn garlic powder
- 1/2 tspn salt
- 1/4 tspn red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese shredded
- 2 tbsp pine nuts
- 2 tbsp roma tomatoes diced
Instructions
- Cut tough ends of asparagus and discard
- Chop asparagus into small pieces... about 1 inch
- Combine water, orzo, asparagus, oil and spices into a medium pot
- Bring to a boil and cook for about 5 minutes
- Once orzo is tender, reduce heat to low and add cheese until melted
- Season with salt and pepper
- Top with pine nuts and tomatoes
- Serve and Enjoy
