Brioche French Toast

The brioche bread makes this french toast so decadent and delicious. Sprinkle with powdered sugar to take it up a notch.

Try this luxurious, buttery french toast the next time you are camping and I guarantee your day will start off on a great note. Be sure to use thick slice brioche bread as the pillowy softness adds to the elegant version of this toast.

EQUIPMENT

  • Stove
  • Skillet
  • Shallow bowl or pan
  • Spatula

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Maple Extract (or Vanilla Extract)
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 4 slices Brioche Bread
  • Maple Syrup
  • Powdered Sugar

DIRECTIONS

  1. Whisk eggs in a bowl or shallow pan
  2. Add milk, extract, and sugar
  3. Mix to combine
  4. Dip bread in egg mixture to coat (one at a time)
  5. Melt butter in skillet over Medium heat
  6. Once butter is melted, add coated bread to the skillet
  7. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side, until golden brown
  8. Serve immediately with warmed syrup and a dusting of powdered sugar
